From leading more effective meetings, to a monthly morning happy hour. There is a workshop option that can help strengthen your skillset and create opportunity for you develop and grow.

 

Morning Happy Hour

To help women network more successfully, I partnered with a dear friend, Tess Burns, and created the Morning Happy Hour, which meets quarterly. The Morning Happy Hour allows women to have a cup of coffee or tea and meet professional women who are focused on increasing their economic development. Meeting from 7:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., we are 50-100 women strong and meaningful contacts are the fare of the day.

Being Our Best

The Balance of Self-Esteem, Assertiveness and Stress Management. This workshop focuses on how we can increase our self-esteem, be more assertive and manage our stress better by finding the balance among these. The workshop is one hour and I provide take-aways to aid in further study.

Leading Effective Meetings

This one-hour workshop focuses on how to lead effective meetings. As a facilitator it is our responsibility to keep the meeting flowing, make sure people are caring for their deliverables, and guide the future work of the group. Those participating in meetings trust the facilitator to provide reasonable structure for the meetings and keep everyone focused on the meeting details. This workshop teaches facilitators to be stellar in this leadership role.

 

Creating a Network Map and Meeting with Your Advocates

This workshop is designed to help you create a network map of people who will be helping you acquire new employment. The network map is a strategy piece of your job search and once created, you will be meeting with your advocates and asking for their assistance in moving forward on your career pathway. We will identify three categories of people: your most trusted advisors, your strongest advocates, and those people you need to meet who could be instrumental in your job search. Once we have these people identified, we will discuss how to use your network map to create a network of support for your future work.

Conducting a Core Skills Analysis and Creating a Core Skills Chart

This workshop teaches you the strategy for conducting your own core skills analysis and how to delve into your previous skill development and work experience to determine the best skills you are bringing to the table for new employers. Once we determine your best core skills, we will work on your core skills chart and how to create a document that stands out to employers and conveys the best core skills you are using to create your financial security.

The Best Advice for Conducting a Winning Interview

You will learn how to conduct yourself in an interview, how to speak intelligently and how to win your future employer’s attention in this workshop. We will discuss the strategies that make you the number one candidate for employment and how to effectively answer and ask questions that garner favorable outcomes. We will address conducting phone screens, interviewing via zoom and interviewing in person. This 1.5-hour workshop will help you prepare for interviews and share methods for evaluating your performance.
